Simple Steps to a Cleaner PC
To have a faster and much more stable computer use experience, among the most simplest thing to do is to do a PC clean up. Generally the reason why a PC runs slowly is since lots of unneeded files were stored. To fix this, just follow these few basic steps and you’ll have a clean PC.
The first step is to delete all those text documents that you do not really require, the pictures that you do not really want, and all those unnecessary files. You should also use the Disk Cleanup tool to free up that much required space on the PC’s harddrive to enhance the performance of your PC. You can begin by clicking “Start”, the “All Programs”, then “accssories”, then “System tools. Select “Disk Cleanup” from the list that appears. Click on the “More Options” tab at the top of the page, and select the 3 of the following: “Windows Components,” “Installed Programs,” and “System Restore”. You’re now on your way to a clean computer.
The next thing to do is to get rid of internet cookies. Go to the “More Options” tab at the uppermost part, then select the 3: “Windows Components”, “Installed Programs, and and “System Restore”. Every time you visit a web site, files saved in your PC are cookies. The cookies might be deleted through clicking on Start, then control Panel, then Internet Options. Click the Delete Cookies on the second row down. Then select the Delete Temporary Files.
Another thing to remove while doing your computer clean up are unused or unwelcome Program Files. This might be a PC game you don’t use anymore, a software you just used once. If you don’t use a program, it still consumes plenty of RAM and some other resources. These should be uninstalled and deleted.
Cleaning your computer should always include checking if there is any virus or viruses in your PC and removing it. Be sure that the antivirus you’re running is updated. Viruses could be dangerous not only to your computer’s hard disk but to the user too. There are malwares that collects private information without your knowledge and often uses this details illegally.
Lastly, use the Disk Defragmenter in your PC. Defragmenting places all files to where it should be. Disk Defragmenter could be located in the System Tools under Accessories under Start button. It’s important to perform this since after some time of use software programs makes a hard disk drive fragmented. Due to this, the applications run slower.
