Starcraft 2 Game Play Strategies That Work.
There is currently already a wide range of different publications prepared as Starcraft 2 gameplay strategy guides This includes Starcraft 2 strategy ranging from the very basic strategy of the beginner to the most advanced Starcraft 2 strategies that are employed by those who have mastered the game. However, it is best to acquire some fundamental understanding of the basic starcraft 2 strategy before delving into the more advanced topics.
The most important thing is to understand what units you will need to build to produce a strong force for speed and power in all situations.
It’s important to understand that Starcraft 2 involves three different races. (not 4 as some of you might have wished for). This includes the fierce Zerg, the dominant Protoss, and the quick-witted Terran.
The Zerg is actually the most populous race as they are present everywhere in large numbers. The race is obviously in a position to carry out large numbers of attacks which can quickly wipe out your forces. The advances of the Zerg are fundamental yet compelling. Apart from speeding beasts they are able to fire sharp nails at very high deadly speed as they speed past you disabling or killing anyone within range. These aggressive tactics represent only a few examples of the arsenal of the Zerg.
The Protoss have a very powerful mothership craft which has the power to be able to disguise ALL of its surrounding units and hence are able to launch very successful surprise attacks when least expected. In addition they are able to use their force shield to defend themselves from any advances and attacks by any enemy forces. Watch out for them.
Looking at all three races in this Starcraft 2 game the most quickwitted and maybe advanced race is of course the Terran. Coming as a cross breed of both the Zerga and the Protess they process lots of different abilities and tools of attack mechanisms. I would not advise setting yourself up to attack them until you have gained lots of other experince in the game learning the capabilities of both parent races first. Due to their quick wittedness any successful attack you launch against any part of their defense ring will be very quickly re-filled to stop any more infiltration by their enemies Launching any surprise attack upon the Terran is very difficult. Their use of fantastic mechanized units, enemy identifying scanners and great skills with using flame thrower weapons along with their quick thinking abilities makes them into formidable enemies. With such a massive and impressive arsenal of weapons the opponent never knows what to expect from the Terran military assault.
This should provide you with a basic understanding of the three races and their capabilities.
You will start the game with a central building or Nexus. In general the nexus has three important uses. The nexus can serve as a drop off location for minerals, produce workers or allow any building to work much faster.
